Now that I’m exiting my twenties, I’ve become more and more obsessed with the skin under and around my eyes. I want to minimize fine lines and avoid wrinkles for as long as possible. I’ve been seeing the Wander Beauty Baggage Claim Gold Eye Masks floating around the internet in all their gold, sparkly glory and decided to check them out. So I hopped on Sephora’s website and ordered the set of six eye masks for $30 CAD. Honestly, the price seemed a little steep at first. But each pair of eye masks works out to about $5 each, which is pretty comparable to other eye masks on the market
On Sephora’s website, these eye masks are described to “brighten, hydrate and reduce the appearance of dark circles”. These masks contain hyaluronic acid, which is meant to hydrate and diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, as well as aloe leaf extract and lavender oil, which cools the skin to sooth and calm the under-eye area.
The packaging for this product is really great. Each pair of eye masks are packaged separately in pouches, which is perfect for travelling. The actual eye masks are quite large and take some work to maneuver under your eyes. But once you have them positioned they’re comfortable to wear and super cute! I was really impressed with how well these stayed in place and didn’t slip or slide around my face. I was able to tidy up around my apartment without them moving or falling off. I left them on for about 15 minutes and then tapped the remaining serum in with my finger tips. The serum sunk into my skin really nicely and I didn’t experience any stinging or burning.
In terms of results, I did see a slight reduction to under eye puffiness. I have a feeling this is the kind of product that needs to be used over a longer period of time to see any kind of major results. I also really liked how moisturized and smooth my under eyes felt afterwards. I thought these masks really helped to create the perfect canvas, especially when preparing for make-up application.
