This week has literally been one of the longest weeks ever. I’ve been sick, I’ve been sad and for the first time in a while I’ve been really anxious. It was a total emotional rollercoaster and I’m happy it’s done and behind me. What I really need is a long weekend, a glass of rosé in my hand, sunnies and a patio. Stat! This five day work week is just not it right now. So it goes without saying that I was very happy to find my FabFitFun box waiting in the mail for me. It was just the bright and happy pick me up I needed.
For those of you who have not checked out my previous post where I unboxed my Spring 2019 box, what are you waiting for?! There were some seriously fabulous products in that box, so go check it out! FabFitFun is a seasonal subscription box that contains eight or more full sized products which are beauty, fitness or fashion related. Each box costs about $59 CAD, including shipping to Canada. Subscribers of FabFitFun are also able to pick and choose at least three items in each box, depending on their subscription level. These items are typically high-end or brand name and super fun to choose between.
This is my fourth box from FabFit Fun, which I guess means that I have been subscribed for pretty well a whole year! Yay! I typically always take advantage of logging on to my account a few weeks before my box is set to ship so that I can look through the products and pick what I want. This time around I decided to see what would happen if I didn’t choose any of the products in my box and let FabFitFun decide for me. Since the products up for grabs this season were extra good, it was pretty hard to let this one be a surprise. Now that everything is unboxed and I’ve had a good look at what I received, I’m pretty happy overall! Check out what I got below!
Items photographed above include:
- Spiritual Gangster Maya Kimono – $60
- 111Skin Rose Gold Brightening Facial Treatment Mask (set of five) – $160
- Jennifer Zeuner Star Double Necklace – $50
- Living Proof No Frizz Nourishing Styling Cream – $28
- Doctor Rogers Restore Healing Balm – $30
- Invisibobble Original Duo Pack – $16
- Generation Clay Ultra Violet Brightening Purple Clay Mask – $39
- Grace & Stella Rose Facial Spray – $25.95
- Which Exfoliating Foot Mask – $32
Items in my box this time around totalled over $440, about 7 times more than what I pay for my subscription!
While I haven’t had a chance to try everything I received in my Summer box, I have tried a few things and wanted to share a few quick thoughts on them ☺ ☀
Spiritual Gangster Maya Kimono – I was super excited to have received this in my box! I absolutely adore a good kimono. The pattern is divine and the material is super lightweight and perfect for summer. The downside is that it wrinkles super easily. It was already fairly wrinkly when I unpackaged it, I can only imagine what my washing machine will do to it! I’m also not a huge fan of non-removable tie at the front. While this kimono is cute when tied at the waste, sometimes I may want to keep it open and can’t without these two fabric ties hanging to the floor and flapping in the wind. #firstworldproblems.
111Skin Rose Gold Brightening Facial Treatment Mask – I tried one of these the other night and loved that the actual mask was pink! So cute. This is a gel-like sheet mask that is supposed to sit on the face for about 20 minutes. Unfortunately, I’m not a huge fan of these. While the mask itself is super moist, it is heavily fragranced and slides down your face if you are doing anything other than laying down. I also didn’t like how easily the mask tore when I tried to readjust it on my face. I’ll likely be passing these on to a friend, these are not for me.
Invisibobble Original Duo Pack – LOVE! I have been using Invisibobbles for years and swear by them for the gym. They absolutely work and do not leave that weird bump in your hair that most ponytail holders do. These are so so good!
Grace & Stella Rose Facial Spray – this is another love and has officially made its way into my regular skin care routine. As a die hard fan of the Mario Badescu facial sprays, I had a feeling I would end up loving this. I use this right after washing and toning my face (usually when I am fresh out of the shower) as a way of introducing moisture back into my skin after a good cleansing. I find it does a really great job of prepping my skin for serums and creams before I apply my make-up for the day.
I am super excited to try the rest of my FabFitFun products over the next little while and hopefully find some more new loves for the Summer. Have you tried FabFitFun before? What do you think of their subscription boxes? Do you feel the products you get are worth the price of the subscription? What items did you receive in your Summer 2019 box?
